Discover the Benefits of Working with a HECA College Admissions Consultant

The Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) is a professional organization devoted exclusively to the professional practice of college admissions consulting. Membership in HECA is limited to consultants who are committed to providing quality service to families while upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.

When you work with a HECA member consultant, your family will enjoy the benefits of working with a college admissions consultant who is:
  • Focused on helping your child succeed. The Higher Education Consultants Association is first and foremost dedicated to the needs and dreams of students. Our member consultants view each student as an individual, with unique talents, interests, and goals, and will strive to help your child realize his or her college aspirations.
  • Dedicated to providing professional and ethical service to students and parents. The Higher Education Consultants Association is distinguished by our emphasis on upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics for the college admissions consulting field. HECA's Standards and Ethics policies require that our members abide by four primary values: sound advice, integrity, respect, and confidentiality. By joining HECA, our members demonstrate their commitment to incorporating these values in their consulting practices.
  • Committed to keeping abreast of ever-evolving trends in college admissions. HECA member consultants are dedicated to continued professional development, and may participate in HECA-sponsored college tours, conferences, and access member-only college information resources.
  • Connected to a network of over 500 professional college consultants across the country. HECA members can network with other HECA consultants throughout the U.S., which means they can provide deeper insights and information on a wide range of college options available to students and parents.
Families who work with HECA consultants can also rest assured that they have chosen a consultant who has met our organization’s strict membership standards. To be eligible for HECA membership, a consultant must meet standards for:
